Songs in the Key of Life

aamusedinatxI have been reading the Playlists posted by MinofSin with interest over the last few weeks.
As a former musician and a life-long lover of music, I never live in silence. I have a constant soundtrack going on around me, at home, at work, out and about. I have more radios, computers, ipods, and the like than I do a tv. I'd rather listen to music than watch a movie. It fills my mind, my soul, it transports me and yet leaves me free to do other things in a way which visual media does not.
And so today, the first day of this new year, I too, have been listening to a random sampling on my iTunes. I have nearly 10 gig of music stored up now, and that is by no means all I own. I have a lot of CDs I still have ever ripped into digital format.
I thought you might like a peek into my collection for a change. And today's music seemed to ebb and flow with hope, nostalgia, humor, california, war, and a whole pool of current themes.
