A story of my past, my present and my future...

This is totally non sexual, but lazaruslong2004 just went to a funeral of a relative in Texas and it reminded me that I have been meaning to post this for some time.

It is one of the first tales I sent the Primary in email. He said it told him a great deal about me at a time he was eager and rabid to learn who and what I was.

( It's fairly long, so a cut to be polite )

WTF?

So, I'm sitting on the bench waiting on the bus this afternoon. The day is sunny and warm, lots of passersby.

This rather nice looking man slows down as he walks in front of me and says. "You know the buses stopped running for the day." (it's 3pm). I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Really? rats! I guess I'm in for a long wait then."

"I guess I'll have to give you a ride home in my car."

me: (chuckles) "If it weren't such a nice day to sit in the sun, I might take you up on it." (not that I would--not with a total stranger-not in this day and age.)

He wanders off.

Okay...

Do I just LOOK like a working girl or what???

This happens to me a lot. I've never quite figured it out. On one hand I'm flattered, on the other hand I feel solicited when I'm minding my own business and I'm annoyed.

I've had guys slow down their cars and offer me rides while I'm walking up to Bart. I've had guys follow me down the sidewalk asking me for dates. Not all of these guys are cream of the crop mind you. Still, what is it?? I honestly, just DON'T get it.

Jeans, a shirt, my hair up all askew in a clip, no make up, feeling totally unsexy and unmotivated towards sex at that point in time. BROAD DAYLIGHT.

I don't get it.
