(03-16) 16:00 PST BENICIA -- Two masked men burst into the Benicia credit union just before noon today with weapons drawn. They bellowed at employees to drop to the ground and hand over their money.
It was a pretty standard robbery but for the fact the robbers picked a "cashless credit union," where the money is deposited into a vault accessible by only a few people.
Crestfallen, the would-be robbers slinked away cashless in a heist police called priceless.
"I would say that apparently they weren't really prepared," said Benicia police Capt. Steve Mortensen.
