03-22) 08:51 PST OAKLAND -- The West Oakland BART station reopened shortly before 9 a.m. after a bomb scare prompted an evacuation this morning, officials said.
All service between the East Bay and San Francisco was halted for about 50 minutes while police searched a train and the station.
BART spokesman Linton Johnson said that around 8 a.m., someone at the 12th Street station yelled that there was a bomb aboard a train headed for San Francisco.
