Cinema Oddity
Dec. 7th, 2006 12:25 amThere's a late run/discount theater up on College avenue. It has five small screens inside. Outside there is a V shape marquee. On the left side they list three movies. On the right side they'll have an announcement like "Senior Discount" or "Matinee times" and then the next two movie titles.
I rode the bus up College today and because of traffic it stopped and sat in front of this little theater for what seemed like several minutes. Certainly it stopped long enough for me to read the left and right side of the marquee.
On the left was "The Illusionist" plus two other movies I don't remember and am not interested in. On the left was "Kids Matinees Saturday & Sunday." Beneath that was: "Jesus Camp" and "Short Bus."
:: counts to 10...run in circles scream and shout... ::
Am I the only one that sees the irony in that?
I'm ready for my close up Mr. Falwell.
