aamusedinatxIt's gray and spritzing rain but it looks like skies will clear by tonight and tomorrow will be nice. It's always good to start a new adventure in good weather and it looks like we'll have fine weather for our midnight departure tomorrow evening for Nepal.
It's almost here and I almost don't believe it! It has seemed so far off for so long and now it's right ------------------------------------> here!

I took two Tylenol PM and crawled into bed with a book last night. As I settled in to read there was a 'plonk...plonk...thud' as one, two and then the third cat leaped up and claimed various positions on and around me. I slept as I have always done, surrounded by snoozing fur bodies. Funny how I can sleep so sound with my animals and yet I never did learn to sleep comfortably with another human being.
This morning, I'm moving slowly and calmly. There's been a few more phone calls and emails trickling in. I find I've been able to deal with them without a flood of tears. I think the crying is nearly over and as I said above, today is a new day. My final chapter in this was to write a note to SmileyDog Rescue to let them know. It was through them and my former land-lady, Kay, who was also a foster mom for the rescue agency that I met Dottie.
Now. Now I have a MOUNTAIN of house work to get done so I can leave on my trip with a fresh mind and come home to a fairly clean house. The menial tasks involved are also a therapy of sort. Cleaning and organizing are two tools I use to work through emotions and thoughts. (Me controlling, type-A personality? Ooooh no, not ME!) :)
I'll post a few more times before I leave tomorrow to start my 'grand adventure' to be sure. Posting from Nepal may be sporatic at best (there will be 4 of us sharing Kit's laptop) but I will be sure and let you guys know how the trip is going!
