1:15 (or there 'bouts) and things are progressing! The livingroom floor is IN! I helped Arman move stuff from the bedroom to the front room. I went and bought the poor guy lunch and he's now having lunch and a cigarette for break. I took the dork dog out for a much needed walk as well. The weather continues gorgeous and almost warm (if you stay out of the shade and the wind). In a few hours the bedroom floor will be laid as well.
They're swiping baseboards from another job and delivering it here, so EVERYTHING will be done today. Only quirk so far is that the cover to the wall heater doesn't fit. I don't want to scratch the floor so I'm going to figure out a way to felt foot the bottom edges and then latch it directly into the wall It'll still work, it'll just be raised up a bit, which means I have to anchor it. There are sightly and unsightly ways to do that. I'll work on the sightly ones first (like heavy duty velcro in white to almost match the walls and covers.)
I did get a few pics snapped of the living room floor now that its in, just as I got a few snapped of the sub flooring once it was down in the bedroom on Thursday. Un fortunately, show and tell will have to wait until I'm unpacked again and I have unearthed my cables.
Tomorrow, all things going well, I plan to hit IKEA early for curtain rods and hardware to hang the curtains my sister made for me. Then I will finish indulging myself in domestic delights like continuing to unpack and clean.
