Sitting around in my Altogether

writertobe turned me on to. It's a great place for wordsmiths of many languages. I don't post often but I do like reading in there.
It seems your 'altogether' is more widespread than my assumed impact of german immigrants in the upper midwest. Folks have heard it from their Liverpool granny, it was pointed out in an text as originating in the 1890s as a word for nudity, and is apparently live and well and in use in the South even today.
I admit, I love words, curious words, words and phrases that make you wonder. It's a good way to spend coffee in the AM.
MEANWHILE...I woke to 35 degrees this morning. It is COLD. I just dashed to the store and now my feet are like ice. It is warming up out there,slowly. The sun feels quite nice but that wind and the shadows... BURR!!
