Interestingly enough, now that he is under Grand Jury indictment, Tom DeLay (R) Texas, is stepping down as House Majority Leader. The Republican Party rules dictate this is the step he must take, but then again, rules also dictated he should have done so when he was under ethics review and the party merrily changed its rules so that he wouldn't have to.
There is a big difference between a congressional probe on ethics and a federal indictment, however.
I hope this former ORKIN man from Lubbock is publicly eviserated for all he's managed to do in the past 5 years on a federal level, not to mention years and years of gross abuse of power while a member of the Texas governing body.
