Hump Day should be renamed THUMP Day

Because, that's what is going on inside my head: thump.thump.thump.
I woke up with a crushing migraine this morning. I opened up the laptop, dumped my angst into an e-mail to BossMan and went back to bed. Problem was I *REALLY* had things I had to do today, so at 11am my alarm went off and I rolled out of bed for the second time. I staggered around the corner to walk the dork dog and headed into work.
There's nothing quite like dragging in, looking like death on a cracker, to a cheery "You're HERE!" by the BossDude. The high pitched squeal rattled in my ears and feeble brain for a good ten minutes. I wanted to kill him.
The day has pretty much been a clusterF*ck all the way around. Had I left at my usual time, I would have been stuck anyway since a power outage closed down Berkeley Bart at the time I would have been on the train to get to work.
Once I get here, our firewall router goes KAPUT--no internet access! Not only that, but our corporate website and email is hosed here so *POOF* we don't exist on the NET for several hours!
Then we all calmed down and gathered round for lunch. After that I went to an empty suite down the hall with my new trade show booth and went about setting it up. Easier said than done. BossMens wanted to help. It took twice as long with their assistance of course, but the laughter did go a long way towards easing my lingering headache.
Our Signage, after 15 years, is in pathetic shape and there is no real cohesive message there, so we talked about new signage, new business cards, a new look and feel. One BossMan went thattaway to start on the artwork, another BossMan went thissaway to ...well we're not sure really he just went thissaway. I was finally left in some peace and quiet to look at my new booth and try and memorize what went where when. I won't be surprised if I come in tomorrow and find it collapsed in a heap on the floor!
And now, at the close of my day, I have a booth, I have signage in the works, I have internet again, we have a web presence again, BART has power again, and all seems right with the world.
I'm almost afraid to step out the door at this point, gods know what is going to hit me next!
