Supreme Irony

Mind you I wasn't wishing the Pope dead. It's obvious he is at the end of his journey and is experiencing it with grace and peace. (I wish as much could have been given Terri Schiavo).
HOWEVER, in my sick and twisted sense of humor, I waited all day yesterday for the news. I wanted to hear that the Pope, St. Peter's heir, Christ's messenger on earth, died on April Fools Day. The irony of that just tickled me for some reason.
Naturally he didn't do it and therefore ruined the chance of ever bringing me back into the Bosom of the Mother church for good.
