I'm hearing about this more and more

and as the partner of a bi-sexual male who is honest about his sexuality and safe about his sex, I feel more relieved...however, I feel very alarmed by this trend...which is happening because of sexual prejudice, stigma, selfishness, ignorance, and fear.

While I feel bad for the wife...I also felt my blood pressure rise when I read this quote:
We are 20+ years into the fight against the epidemic disease and still, after all the efforts and attention brought to AIDS, all the education we have tried to teach...it's still a 'gay' disease in the minds of many. The fact that this is helpful and convenient to the religious right and our current government, the fact that they help perpetuate this by baring US scientists and doctors from attending the World AIDS conference. That they ban the CDC from distributing AIDS awareness and safe sex pamphlets, makes my blood boil even further.
I'll go calm down now...and in a bit...I'll tell you about my first night here :)
